When the bureaus put up a Fraud Alert, it only makes you look like the bad guy and the perpetrator is getting away again. Fraud Alerts are broad, and when creditors see fraud alerts on the account they often think, "What has this person done?" The government and law enforcement agencies are too busy trying to strategize modus operandi that will work to catch the bad guy, yet move slowly when it comes to catching the bad guy when someone becomes victim.
