Crime and Identity Theft Ever since the first sin of mankind, crime has been ongoing. Today, the improvement in technology aids crime in a new way. Identity theft remained limited until the advent of the computer and the internet. In this era, casualties of crime faces a life time of injuries when identity theft goes on the rampage. This is a crime like no other in history and if you are a victim, your life will be a living hell.
A victim of identity theft will find his life torn upside down. He has to pay for debt he never took; mistaken for crimes he never commits. He faces being arrested everywhere he goes; accused of deeds he never carry out. He is refused credit when make purchases and even denied rental. That's the life of a victim of this horrible crime.
The first crime reported in history was the act Cain committed against his brother Abel. Followed by the first recording, a linage of other crimes; thus each year the crimes worsen and the law is far from putting a stop to the unlawful acts committed against an entire population, including the victims of the crime.
Crime described is an atrocity or enslavement, an act conducted by a single or group of individuals, targeting the population, or a set area to attack. Today, we are more at risk than ever.
At one time, the world was comfortable with typewriters and rarely did you hear reports of identity theft. It has escalated to the millions of reports you hear each year today. Thus, technology, financial processors and other sources are making it easier than ever for criminal minds to take hold of someone's identity. The downside is true; the victims are the ones who really pay and pay and pay.
Identity theft has increased since technology has improved throughout the years. The financial processors designed to pay bills, make purchases, et cetera puts us at risk of identity theft. My son asked me last night, "What happen to Type Writers?" this is one of the questions I have asked for years, and all I could tell him, is "Someone thinks they have the ultimate solution to fix everyone problems," and the result is risks are increasing.
